Extended bottom times, as in "shallow dive with long cave penetration", that I can understand. Deep diving not, as what you will save in deco bottles will be offset by the bailout tanks you'll have to carry along. What kind of depths are you targeting ? Did you do the bailout calculations, including of course the non-optimized deco once you revert to OC ?
I can only

handle twin-15 and 3 stages (in open ocean), which is already plenty of gas, yet I did not move to rebreather because it was the tool needed for the job, but because of other reasons, among which: better deco, ligther for hopping from rock to rock when shore diving, getting closer to wildlife, and ... fun to discover a new toy
