For safety's sake, make sure the sealant you use does NOT give off acetic acid when exposed to humidity/water. Almost all of them DO, and in some instances this can cause corrosion in any nearby electronics. Some give off acetic acid when setting and then don't give it off again - this is OK. The best just don't and they are hard to track down, but not unbelievably expensive.
