Re: Age of "purchased new" cells?

Last update- spoke to LDS who supplied the cells (they've been away since this kicked off) about the old cells, the recent price reduction and whether AP cell guarantee will hold.

No real conclusion unfortunatly, they agree about the age, they wouldn't dive them but we're not going to get any money back from AP and considering how far up they've fouled the whole thing the guarantee should stand....

My personnal opinion of AP has been seriously dented by this- I think they've left it as long as possible to get into the early season sales at £55, as soon as the complaints have started to kick off they've dropped the price....

So I would only have saved £40... but it might also have made me wonder why?

I hear than Classic Inspiration users can convert to Co-axial cell looms, If I where one I would seriously consider it, the cost doesn't sound too bad.
I am also considering converting my KISS, I suspect Molex cells are on the verge of becoming hard to get.

I'm not a legal expert but I suspect there is room for a conversation about AP reccomending not using cells over 18months total age and 3-4months old on first install and then at the same time supplying Year old cells when the expectation is to use them for 12months+?

Would like to know if this has kicked off on the private Inspiration list as well?
