Can you elaborate on this? I ask for 2 reasons:
1) The auto-bailout function assumes the worst-case time to have a catastrophic failure. By basing the bailout gas requirements on the worst case, it makes sure you get in the water with *at least* that much gas, and a profile to deco with that, even if long, would be safe. (It does this by looking for the highest tissue loading in the profile).

2) I originally intend to add a feature which allows you to pick the bailout point, but my thinking was for completely different reasons, mostly related to sawtooth profiles like those you see in a cave. Given those conditions, it would be difficult for the software to determine the "worst" point, not knowing the dive environment.

If you wouldn't mind, could you post some examples and reasoning of what you're going for?
