Anyone had their VR3 simply refuse to fire up? This is the third time it has happened within the last six months or so (it is treated like a baby). Been back to Delta P twice (3 times now Including yesterdays trip). I'd love to think this is battery related but I have only had them changed by reputable dealer (Inc Delta P) up to now. There were maybe 4 dives between the last failures so I doubt this is the issue, but who knows? Any ideas????
Hi, I had something like this happen with both my VR3s - only once each though. On one occasion, I blieve it might have been corrosion in the IO port. On the other, I had been reviewing my log and for the some reason, it failed to turn off and a few hours later when I came back to it, the screen was flashing strange hyroglyphics. In both instances the cure was the same - take the battery out and leave for at least half an hour. Then when I put the battery back in they started fine. Down side - you lose you dives except one (wierd that), you need to reset date and time, and you lose all your gases (not sure if anyting else is lost though). Anything that is "pinned" remains (your personal info, unlock PINS etc). At least that is what I found and they have worked just fine since. I have expeirenced this once on each VR3. (it's not MS WIndows

but very Windows-like behaviour that's for sure. Hope this helped....
