We regularly dive in 8 degree Celcius water. Without dry gloves the dive time limit is about 70 minutes. There after your hands are so numb that you can't get them to do anything. When you surface into 30 Degree sunlight they start to burn like crazy as they come back to life

I dive a shell (i.e. tri-lam) suit and with a 300gr undersuit and my body is nice and toasty. Imprerative is a warm hoody (5mm) and dry gloves!
Cheers
