MIne does this too - I stick a wet cloth soaked in hot water over the humphrey valve, but if anyone has a better remedy I'd love to hear it - a new humphrey valve?
What do you mean by outlet gas? If you mean the waste drive gas coming out of the muffler it is Cold. Perhaps a pipe with its outer surface attached to the humphrey valve between HP outlet and the cylinder you are boosting into might work, but if the reason is because the humphrey is on its last legs then replacing it seems a better bet.
