Does anyone from the trip have opinions about trim and hydrodynamics?
Hi Ilikerisk,
The trim and hydrodynamics are subjective but I found the face down position to be the most comfortable when diving the Sentinel LSS and a right hand angle would encourage the ADV to fire and a left hand position would require slightly more demand to make it fire. Although those positions still had very comfortable WOB, swimming on your back was for me not the most comfortable probably due to the back mounted 4.5ltr counterlung but it was still OK.
The mouthpiece took a bit of adjusting to get it to sit just right and also to make it feel comfortable as it does have the BOV fitted and the loop hoses are push fit into the head so marking the right position for you when you have found it is a good idea. The BOV was very easy to use and it has a very nice action to operate it from the CC position to the OC position and the Poseidon gives a lot of gas but it is best to keep it mouthpiece down when removing it to prevent any free flows the BOV should be fed directly from the inboard fist stage regulator to ensure compliance with the CE Standard as the Manual Inject / Switch Block may cause a flow restriction at depth but I am going to run it that way in the future and see how it goes.
Taking it for a couple of dives this Saturday so I will see how it feels in the not so warm waters of an Irish Lough.
