IIRC the Flip Fins aren't knew - I saw them at last year's BTS. And you can do essentially the same thing if you remove the "Power Bands" from the equally-wacky Aqualung Slingshot fins: Slingshot If I had a friend that was considering these, I would subtly hint that the extra money could just as easily be put toward a gym membership or running shoes, etc.; but that's just me ...

I saw the Fish Flips on a couple of kids' wrists and that's mainly who I thought they were intended for - guess I was wrong! As far as other wacky ideas, I'm sure there were more that I missed; but being stuck in a booth the whole time I got a total of about 15 minutes to walk around the whole weekend. Evan Kovacs NOAA/Woods Hole 3D hi-def u/w video was amazing and gets my vote as one of the most interesting and impressive.

I saw a few Rebreather World members that I knew and met a few new ones, but not as many as I would have expected. I like Dave's idea of maybe setting up a little more formalized get together in the future.
