Re: Scrubber bypass Ida-64

The problem is with the hose "T" hose that connects the exhale hose from the DSV to the 2 scrubbers. This is internal in the CL. The hose clamps can fail meaning exhailed gas can bypass the scrubbers and be pushed into the counterlung which is on the inhale side of the loop. This means the gas does not get scrubbed of CO2 and the user has no warning of what is happening.

I am working on a IDA71 and have solved the problem by using 1 scrubber and connecting it to the exhale hose externally to the lung.
