The stock KISS MCCR has no backup/parachute, when the PPO2 drops it drops, slower than on a non-KISS MCCR or ECCR with the electronics off but it drops nevertheless- fear keeps the diver of a MCCR alive, the fear of this very things happening.

For this reason many MCCR users run their units almost as an O2 rebreather above 6mtrs.
