Pro's & Con's, your thoughts.

all the best.
Hi,

I'm only an armchair specialist, having not tried this myself. But, from what I've read digital cameras with the i.r. filter removed are sensitive to near infrared down to 1100 or 1200 nm.

Unfortunately, water is qute a good absorber in this region of the spectrum. Approximately 10 times better than red light. So you'll probably only be able to get usable image close to the surface on sunny days.

Just my thoughts,

Keith.
