Re: how to adjust ap valves lp hose length

I understand that the lp hoses from manifold to diluent/oxygen inflators on a vision inspiration counderlungs come with adjustable hose length fittings out of the box. Can anyone confirm this? Has anyone got any photos / a write up of how to shorten the hoses?. I've found some excellent write ups/tear downs in the past, but can't seem to find one for this...
Its very easy.
Split the two parts with your spanners and screw off the collar from the hose. It is a LEFT HAND THREAD onto the hose so to get it off seems like you are screwing it on.
Cut your hose to the desired length and then refit the outer collare until the hose is right upto the shoulder on the inside of the collar. Then push in the insert and screw it in. This may take a bit of force as newly cut hose should be tight. Use your spanners to tighten the two parts back up and voila!
Dont forget to gas it up and test for leaks.
