Oops! Forgot to mention the downside- it’s easy to get carried away and end up with more Meg battery packs than you can use in a lifetime!

I sent out a few of the Lithium AA battery packs for folks to test- hopefully we will see some feedback soon, unless they last for a long time- then it might be a while…

You might try gluing the batteries together first, before welding on the nickel strips. I use a hot glue gun- not too much tho! This helps keep everything straight and even. It also makes installing the shrink wrap at the end a breeze.
