Re: Laser corrective eye surgey and diving?

mrs vid's vision was -11.0 and -10.5

She had the laser treatment 5 1/2 years ago - which was invasive. Her doctor suggested that she stay out of the water (including the pool) for 4-5 months, which she did (she left it to the winter).

She also stuck to all of the other advice that was given to her.

Her friend at work and a separate friend of ours both had treatment, ignored the doctors advice and then had problems from diving - bubbles, infection etc!

I understand that with modern non-invasive laser treatment you should be out of the water for 4-8 weeks max. DON'T IGNORE THEIR ADVICE!

Let us know how you got on

PS mrs vid went to 20/20 and it's only just starting to fail again (although the old gal's getting on a bit now )
