This is my first post so hi everyone!
I have just got back home from training on Pelagian with Andy in Koh Samui.
What a fantastic trip! A huge thank you to Andy and his family for their hospitality!
It was my first time on CCR & also the first time on CCR for my course buddy Mr Pyro so it was all very different & lots of new things to get used to. I'd been thinking about it for a couple of years and had my eye on the Pelagian because of the small size/weight & reading lots of good things about it here on Rebreather World. Also Andy has always been great with answering all my questions.
The course was a pretty intensive 5 days – we were both glad we’d booked to stay in the onsite accommodation next door to Andy’s house & workshop so we could make the most of having Andy around. We had detailed/thorough theory sessions; pool sessions until ridiculous hours followed by setting up for the next day diving. The ocean diving was awesome! So warm & so many fish! (I am originally from UK & most of diving has been temperate and Mr Pyro is from Sweden so we were a bit spoilt..) We worked up through the skills we had practised in the pool, and getting a feel for the needle valve O2 addition. The last couple of dives threw in a few different problem scenarios designed to really make us think about what was happening & how to deal with it.
We stayed on to do a few extra days of pleasure diving & practise after the course finished but unfortunately didn’t get to dive some of the famous sites so it’s a good excuse to go back again for another visit sometime in the future!
Very happy & excited about it all & can’t wait to play with my new toy on the weekend!

Oups. Maybe I should have put a little congrats post here. So CONGRATS!! to both you and Johan!
Keep your eyes peeled on that Po2 monitor and see if you can find a buddy with the VR3 dive log software or buy it. Great feedback to see how the set point gets steadier over your future dives!
Welcome back at anytime. Maybe we can target the rainy season next time to get some nice weather?
