I use an orifice and fixed IP. I have set the unit for my at rest VO2. There are dives which I never have to touch it. (I do check it on a regular basis)

Mine is set to 0,9 lpm. I never change the drive IP unless I dive warm water. It doesn't happen around here.

Everyone's base VO2 is different. You have to know yours. Then, depending on on which school you belong the flow is set to that rate or slightly lower. Lower requires you to monitor PO2 more religiously.
