| Re: Laser corrective eye surgey and diving? I had a no-touch Laser PRK done to both eyes about 1.5 years ago. I was cleared to dive within two weeks, because there was no incision to rupture from pressure. Infection was not a concern, because, no incision, etc.
The procedure does take longer to 'set' than LASIK - although I could see better immediately, I went from very nearsighted to a bit farsighted, which settles down to 20/20 after about 30 days. I could legally drive within 5 days.
Diving has not been a problem since in any way.
Go for it! No more lost or moving contacts at 180'...no coke bottle dive mask. You can see your toes in the shower - I still get excited!
