Ahh I see now, you dont need it to form a seal you need it so the diaphram does not get streched and push down to far into the body at depth which would cause it to break its seal.
So does the tecme part replace the diaphram or the hydrostaic transmitter?
If its the hydrostaic transmitter then you could use any disk to do it as it does not need to seal.

The plastic transmitter doesnt do any seal or something like that, it transmit the surrounding pressure. Actualy in normal mode, it does this a bit to well, the IP actually increases more than the surroundning as you go deeper. As it ahs been this way for quite sometime now and Apeks have'nt fixed it I think thay have done this on purpose, perhaps to make it easier to breath of to depth?
