Each manufacturer shapes the grannules differently. Also, the size of the grains, or range, can be different. By mixing, the grannules don't fit together like planned, but like everyone else has already said, I don't think it is a big deal if you fill with one and then the other. agreed, when I did this on my inspiration and more recently my BOB (both axial) i put one on top of other (and assumed lowest sorbs scrubber life time)
my concern with doing that in raidal was if it created a 'prefered path' through the less packed sorb type - which is why for the radial I mixed them up.
