Re: Six Months Later...

Hi George,

I am glad you like the unit!
I am just sitting here figuring out an optional DIL manifold block that would make it easier to connect an inline shut off and provide a similar manual ad as we have on the O2 side. It would also allow plugging in a few other tanks so a dive can be started with a bail out plugged in to the loop etc.

As for the battery compartment if we are talking a small increase it could be done. Major increse will be tricky. As you know space is limited.

Maybe you could bring me one of the batteries you are using to ADEX? I am sure it would be sufficient to enlarge just a 10th of a mm to be able to remove it easier.

All the best!

Andy

I have now owned a Pelagian for over six months and have had great fun using the unit. The unit has lived to my every expectation. Here are my likes and dislikes about the Pelagian.
LIKES:
1. Incredible ease of breathing
2. Easy to travel with, you can fit it on a backpack and take it onboard a plane, bus whatever.
3. Super great trim - best I have tried
4. Great design on head - easy to verify 02 sensors with a simple breath
5. Good BOV
6. Good integration with VR3
7. Ease of maintenance
8. Good integration with Full Face Mask (Draeger Panorama)
9. Great support from Andy
10. Flexibility of tanks from a 3L, what I use, all the way to 11L
DISLIKES
1. Battery compartment too tight, easy to fray wires
2. Would like manual control of Diluent

As you can see my "bitching" is quite limited and more of a wish list. All in all I am very pleased with the unit. I have taken the unit to 100m+ and have had no problems. I now have over 100 dives with the unit and it is tight and leaks no water. My poor inspiration is not getting any frequent flyer miles!

With the way our poor dollar is taking a beating, Andy has the best price on a truly well thought out unit. I would not hesitate to recommend this unit to anyone interested in getting into CCR's or as Andy calls them DCCCR! http://www.rebreatherworld.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
