The advantage of the COPIS is that you can upgrade in the future to an APECS 2 or even to the APECS 3 whenever it's release by ISC. The upgrade for the APECS 2 should be around 3000$, the APECS 3 will be a lot more.
The Meg is build like a tank and should last you for a long time.
