The first article says it captures 83 litres of CO2 per litre of absorbent. That would be about the same as the kitty litter we are already using wouldn't it? 2.5 litres of this new absorbent at 1 litre/min O2 would come to 2.5 x 83 / 0.9 = 231 minutes = 3.8 hrs. Put in a margin for error, because breakthrough would come a long way before saturation of the absorbent, and the dive time would be probably 25% less than this wouldn't it?

I noticed that the second article says it absorbs CO2 when under pressure and releases as it decompresses. This seems sub-optimal. Wouldn't I need to have some kind of compressor in my 'breather?!
