The ADV hose connector fitting would not work specifically because of it's design and the fact that the QD is clean/fast is of obvious benefit. The existing fitting is well suited to the application, and yes, though I generally do not like SS tube fitting type connections, it is quite possibly best-fit for application, pending the connection is kept clean. But, that having been said, I rarely drag my Meg through the mud...
