I seem to remember doing most of a dive in that mode at the end of mod 1.
I thought that was a standard drill.

Yes I did it on my mod 1, 3 years ago, and practiced it since then. Normally between 20-30m with no problem
I was told on an 80m dive with all the deco, holding onto a reel, its much harder than manual injection.

On this drill, the setpoint is raised to 1.6 ( on an Inspo )

The solenoid is then open and the O2 is controlled by opening and closing of the cylinder valve

The only problem with this drill is once 1.6 is reached the solenoid is closed by the computer making you think how good you are at keeping it from spiking

In reality you could crack open the valve, thinking how easy it was on your mod 1 and S$"t youself when you see it go to 2.5
