I have a URM.... and water egres into the connector made me call a dive.

Grease ? silicon?

hack it off and change it to some other fitting??

I had a similar thing happen to me during my Training... After sending the unit back to Delta-P, here is what I was told:

1) They got a bad batch of Fischer connectors
2) They didn't know the batch was bad until they started getting returns
3) They haave been in contact with the Fischer people and have replaced their stock
4) My VR3 and URM have been repaired (at no cost) using a different batch of connectors.

I haven't had the chance to dive my unit yet with the new parts, but the connectors look shiney and new

If your unit is fairly new (as all URM's probably are) you may want to look into getting the parts replaced by the factor. And it doesn't hurt to do some/all of the sealing suggestions either :P
