Those conditions looked rough. I don't think this is a good time of year for caves in that valley as alot of the flow is attributed to snow melt and glacier run which has been heavy this season. Late summer and early fall there is almost no flow and the vis is pretty good.
Winter is an excellent time for diving at Valatagna, when the weather is cold the conditions are very predicatable. (and when it's warm as now it's obviously bad) In the summer thunderstorms can cause big floods unexpectedly. We've had very good conditions for the years we've been there in February.
