Be very careful changing out to a check valve not designed for that particular DSV,

A check valve malfunction can be fatal!!! I strongly recommend not to use the latex from a glove, We have all seen how fast latex gloves rots, and how a glove that looks fine falls apart when you pull it on your hand. If you are going try to make your own valve then at least use silicon sheet material.

Check valves must function correctly and crack at the right pressure, this is determined by the section of the valve. If section is to thick it wont crack at low pressure making your work of breathing go out the window. consequently CO2 build up. To thin and check valve will get sucked back in through the windows in the check valve holder, and most likely get stuck there. The section of the check valve is determend by how the holder was designed, and obviusly how good the engeneer was.
