The original mail from Nicky contained a table which summarises the suppressable warnings, as this release now also allows for suppression of low battery warnings. They look a bit garbled in the mails above, so I'll try to make them more readable as I think it is important info. Here it is: Error Warning Suppression Table
Error warning -- HUB and audible alarm -- Display screen -- Time (mins) Low oxygen ------------No ---------------------------------No ------------------------0 High oxygen -----------No ---------------------------------No ----------------------- 0 Cell warning -----------Yes ------------------------------- No ----------------------- 5 Low battery ------------Yes ------------------------------ Yes ---------------------- 5 Scrubber --------------- Yes ------------------------------ No ------------------------ 5 Scrubber (level 2) ---- No ------------------------------- No ----------------------- 0 CNS --------------------- Yes ----------------------------- Yes ---------------------- 20 OTU ----------------------Yes ------------------------------Yes ---------------------- 20 It should be interpreted as follows:- high and low oxygen alarms and 2nd level scrubber warning are not suppressable, so will always show on HUD, sound the alarm and will be shown on display.
- low battery warning can be suppressed after initial show-up; suppression will lead to not showing anymore on HUD, not sounding alarm, and not showing on display anymore. Suppression is temporary and last 5 minutes, so after 5 minutes it will show again on HUD, sound alarm, and show on display, at which time they can be suppressed again for 5 minutes.
- cell warning and 1st level scrubber warning can also be suppressed after initial show-up. they are suppressable for 5 minutes, but even during suppression they will still show on display. They will however not show on HUD or sound the alarm during suppression.
- CNS and OTU warnings can be suppressed after initial show-up; suppression will lead to not showing anymore on HUD, not sounding alarm, and not showing on display anymore. Suppression is temporary and lasts 20 minutes, so after 20 minutes it will show again on HUD, sound alarm, and show on display, at which time they can be suppressed again for 20 minutes.
One more remark: the voltages at which the visual battery bar indication on top of the display will drop, have slightly changed also from the previous version. Here is a comparison between V02.01.03 and the latest V02.01.04:switch from 3 to 2 bars at 5.25 volt: no change here, was already 5.25 volt;
switch from 2 to 1 bar at 5.10 volt: is now lowered to 5.00 volt in new version, i.e. 2 bars will now show a bit longer before dropping back to 1 bar;
switch from 1 to 0 bar at 4.80 volt : no change here; unit switched and still switches at this voltage to the 2nd battery.
----------------
Late addition: Martin Parker made a usefull remark as to the "low battery" warning suppression: once the unit gives this warning (at 4.8 volt), ot will also switch from battery (typically from B1 to B2), and as such B1 is now "relieved" from the heavy work and is likely to rise again above 4.80 volt (as it doesn't have to drive the power-consuming solenoid anymore).
Assuming B2 has enough "juice" for its new heavier job, so will not also generate a "low battery" warning, the net effect is that once the low battery warning has been suppressed by the diver, it will not come back again untill the moment that B2 also reaches "low battery" - by which time you most likely will have left the water, and replaced B1....
Hope this helps. Ciao,
Tino.
