Uhhh..............

It's Metric "Kleinkonish" (metric tapered thread), so no burst disc valves fit. But the real issue is that it's not a "valve", it's a valve *and* a manual addition valve as well, in one assembly. There is no way to change it. Plus, the cylinder is not DOT, so if you're worried about the valve, you'll be worried about the cylinder too. Frankly, I'm not worried and have been playing with these for years. Fill your own 02 and forget about it.

*IF* you really want to replace the valve and cylinder with DOT stuff, I make replacement stuff for these and can fix you up with a DOT cylinder, a standard first stage regulator, and a manual add valve that connects to the rig thru a QD. Sadly there's no other option. I do take trade ins of the old bottles though, so let me know if you really feel it's an issue. Personally I'd forget about it and use it "just like it is". I fill 02 into these just down the road in Narragansett RI, so if you come up against any 02 issues, shout. If you need a 02 transfill setup to fill it yourself (yes you do...) we can fix you up with one and get you 3000 PSI 02 boosted into an alu-80 for transfilling as well. One alu-80 will last a year of diving unless you want to buy (and handle) a K or J bottle at your house.

You'll have a ball with one of these here. New England shore diving BEGS for 02 rebreathers. Do yourself a favor and let me fit a P-Connector and a simple PP02 monitor to the thing. At the very least it'll make the pre-dive purge a known thing and not a "blind drill", and at the best might save your life. I add one to every 02 rig I dive.
