| Re: about to throw VR3 brick away I had problems in this area just by misunderstanding the set up procedures for 'CAL GAS'.
Once I stepped through the instructions idiot fashion, read and did every line (desperately hard for an engineer who always knows exactly what to do) I finally got it to set up cleanly.
I admit that with a nice colour text screen it could be a lot more helpful. For things we don't do often we don't need a pretty graphic we need words and numbers. If it said "If you are seriously telling me you are calibrating this on 18/40 trimix why the heck am I getting 50mV out of the cell?" it might even get through to dumb me that maybe I hadn't set it to NX99 like I thought I had. Just "CAL GAS=NX99" would help so much. |
