Hi Zepp-

Just where are you in your IDA71 “journey”? Planning/ contemplating? Have an unmodified rig you’re planning to convert? Diving one in some modified/ unmodified form?

I see you’ve already been given the manual link. That’s a good start. Once you study it carefully you will most likely see that the procedures by which the Russian military operated this rig would be considered downright dangerous by the vast majority of today’s Rebreather divers. The only way to safely dive an UNMODIFIED unit is to treat it as a pure O2 rig, using all appropriate O2 CCR procedures and limitations.
