Re: 147m on Pelagian

Is it the done thing to hijack your own thread? If so, here goes

Went to Chepstow over the weekend to try out some new lights (dual 150w HID's) attached to my Pelagian and generally get frozen. Air temp was 1'c and the water was 8'c at the surface going down to 6'c by 65m...so fairly chilly but the visibility was excellent with 20metres plus to be had even in the shallows.

The lighting from above approach didnt really do to well unless the water was crystal clear so its back to the drawing board for that one. Im gonna try and video a deep wreck soon and the hands free approach seemed ideal but I will simply put the camera on my head me thinks and have a rod with the lighting held a metre or so apart and use it when necessary. I ve put some pics of just how cold it was what with icicles on someones discarded pee-valve and a nice pic of the quarry complete with cloud base...brrrr

Ho Ho Ho
