Re: From Shadow mounts to Metalsub

I decided to get rid of my Shadow mounts and try something new.
The reason for that decision was that I would like to mount some 7 l steel cylinders in the future, and the 3 l steel cylinders I have used with the Shadow mounts so far was sometime a pain in the b*** to put on and off, and you could twist the cylinders if you were a little rough with the unit. So I decided to go for the Metalsub pony cylinder clamps, and it is one of the best investments I have made so far, beside my Narked at 90 Stand

The cylinders are now much easier to take on and off, and it is almost impossible to twist them, the whole unit has become about 0.5-1 kg. heavier and 3 cm wider, nothing I see as a problem.

The first pic. is with Shadow Mounts (donīt mind the welcro strap and the Metalsub attachment it for my HID200)

hello mate,

sure it does look nice. i wanted to have the option of choosing any tank at any place. so i adjusted it with velcro straps, after i saw CV do it. believe me, is very very nice. and you can just pick up any cylinder and just add it on your meg. no need to adjust cylinders, i.e when you go abroad.

i wanted to ask about your tanks? are these 7 litres? how heavy when full? what brand are they? i notice on one picture that the tank is standing. then on the others i see that the bottom is round, so can you explain?

i am after 7 litre tanks, but do not want to go very wide, as i penetrate a lot.

thanks.
