If diving in a lake with presumably little or no current, why not put the Rebreather on in the water? And any stages? It sounds like a safer option all round.
If you're still looking at units to roll from a height, I'd consider the robustness of any electronic bits, where the counterlungs are positioned and how they're protected and how the breathing hoses attach.
FWIW, I'd have no qualms about a backward roll entry with my Boris and have done it a few times, but given the weight of the unit out of the water it's probably not what you're looking for.
