Time in the water is a good point; I think the proof of the pudding for both hardware and software will be when there a many units having done lots of dives. I'm optimistic so far, although I'm setting mine to +5 until I'm sure of the algorithm.
I wouldn't mind the potted battery if it was at least factory replaceable. But from my understanding. When the battery dies. The computer is an $1700 paperweight. No way to change it. Claimed 10 years worth of use on the battery but I've never seen one last past 5 years. Even if it did last 10 years. I'd want to be able to replace it.
