I had a Narked at 90 stand on my meg and I never considered the handle to be an entanglement hazard. What I didn't like about it was that it didn't allow me to tilt my head back enough when swimming in a good horizontal position. It was worse than the manifold on a set of doubles and uncomfortable enough that I sold the stand.
