Re: BOV Use Poll

A other advantage of the BOV is, that it helps to go off the loop much easier before things went wrong. I mean not the operation of changing from the loop to OC, but the mental attitude of Rebreather diver to stay on the loop. A RB-diver will make the decision to go off the loop sooner with a BOV than going on the stage tank, that I'm sure. So if there is really a problem, You start to solve it before it becomes a biger problem. So the procedure is to change to the BOV if You feel something is different than normal, check what the problem can be, or what can be wrong on the RB and make the decision to come back to the loop because all is OK or to bail out OC. My diving is not that deep, so I have the 4L 300 Bar (always full on start) on board on the BOV and a 80cuf stage with separate regulator. That works fine for me. For deeper dives the stage on the BOV would be better.
