hi robert, if you ever had a serious CO2 hit, you would not say that!
I had one on my IDA, years ago, and I did not baill off: I could not, my mind was twisted: I could not miss that 'breathing' for 1 second. So I went straight to surface for fresh air (lucky only at 36m...)
I won't say I'm the best trained... but I have some experience

hi paul
o what tank do you connect you bov?
the dil tank ? 3 lt ?
How long could last a dil tank after a co2 hit with a huge co2 hit ?
in my opinion after switching to oc with you bov you would have sucked the dil in 2 minutes, I am not sure that you would have recovered a normal breathing rate.
after one sucked the dil tank what should one do ?
is there a possibility to switch the bov...
using quick connectors or switch blocks is it possible under a co2 hit ?
how many hoses will we need to be able to suck the dil tanks and then a deco tank a travel or whatever ?
imho it is gear for fear, nothing else
a co2hit is a big s t but the only methode of avoiding it is to make everything we can to avoid it.
fresh sorb...no repacking, correct packing, no effort, no stress and oc bail out if any doubt occurs, if any feeling of dread occurs....
I tend to think that if it happends....deep ...with deco....bye bye...
a bov in maybe one part of the solution , but certainely to the perfect co2 hit parachute.
