My understanding is that the shearwater HUD requires being hooked up to 3 cells. The GF can be hooked up with 3 or 2. The GF/pursuite and HUD can be hooked up in paralell on all 3 cells...not sure if there are enough ports in the head to do this and still have the stock po2 meter hooked up on the pelagian. the way i did it on my Copis was to leave the stock handset in place but "mothballed"...no battery and not hooked up to the cells but ready for to be hooked if the GF or HUD went south on a remote trip. My rule of thumb is to always have 2 different po2 displays to compare, with two truly separate batteries.
