I have been reading this thread since you initiated, and it seems to have a lot of suggestions. The answers are somewhat scattered. As far as service I believe that Norteck diving either is or will be soon qualified in all services required on the Meg. The only service required is really any electronic upgrades as wished upon or possible problem which can occasionally incur. Meg does not have the extent of the electronics offered with the Vision no factory deco only third party controllers can provide this. Another well taken point in the thread is, that whatever units your buddies are diving with does enrich your experience.
Service on the Meg is done locally, meaning that almost all components are of the local dive shop parts shelves except a couple of small pieces which can be had with its save a dive kit.
I have very limited experience with rebreather I have only been using one for the last couple of years and I have come to the conclusion that they are just like women, they all serve their purpose but fit individuals differently.
