Now before an "expert" on the Meg claims things break on it too; of course they do. In my experience having spend time diving the Inspo and the Meg, the Meg is a lot more robust and far few things go wrong. In fact, in my experience, fewer things go wrong with it than any other unit I have owned or hung around with.

Point taken. Funnily I have not seen any of those here in cold Finland. I have seen broken clips and cracked handsets but that is all. It is true that Meg is more robust than YBOD, there is no point arguing that.
Drmike, is it possibility that the whale will blow up in pieces after hitting the Meg cannister? That would be something that I would like to see on video
And maybe a more true life test than the one where a truck runs over your Rebreather
