Hi,
Jan Willem Bech has been collating information on a very wide and diverse range of rebreathers (both production and home build) on
Rebreathers Worldwide for years.
A good starting point and a very interesting read.
I agree that a database like the one you suggest would be very nice to have, but I'm not sure that it would be all that useful, as things change very fast and the considerations when purchasing are very diverse (as many of the threads about 'which rebreather should I buy' indicate).
Cheers,
Hmm, for a rebreather expert i would agree, then it is hardly interesting, but it might be usefull to someone who does not yet have a deep insight in rebreathers. A database would ease the task of gathering knowledge of the different units for someone needing this. And I espicially think that the rating system would be very very interesting!
A site like "rebreathers worldwide" is non dynamic and it is difficult to create an overview IMHO. A dynamic database is easier to maintain and has no problems coping with changes or new units.
