If you are looking at 40m+ within 2-3 years you might be better off with a CCR unit, and doing your MOD 2 and 3 as you need to.

CCR training is split into 3 steps from air diluent [nitrox diving] to full trimix. Second hand CCR units can be had for about the same, if not cheaper than a new Dolphin.

If you don't need that sort of depth for 3+ years a Dolphin, especially second hand will be a good buy-but beware of those on ebay [see the scams forum for details on how to spot a scam and for current scams].

A Dolphin can also be modified to make it a CCR unit, and most of the parts are easily available.
Thanks for the advice. CCR would be probably future proof investment, i haven't fully decided which way to go... Greater than recreational depths might come into play within couple of years.

I've been following German eBay for used Dolphins. Full sets with tanks and all seem to go around 1100 - 1500 euros (three sets within couple weeks now). So with training that would be around 2000 Euros investment. Problem is to find training for it Finland, especially now that every place is freezing over

It is tough decision to pick a right unit when you don't have real understanding which unit would suits you best.Dolphin would be enough for me for a good while I think...
