I change my scrubber every 6 or 8 hours depending on what I expect my next dive to be. If I'm past 6 hours and plan a 300 ft dive, I'll change it out. I rarely, if ever, breathe hard. I always use 8-12 Sodasorb.
I ran my scrubber to 9 hours the other day, dumped it right after the dive, and it looked like 1/2 to 2/3 was purple (and I know that color indication doesn't mean anything). The 9 hours that I had put on it was what I would consider to be under a heavy workload (for me). If I find myself breathing heavy, I purge my loop and slow down. If that didn't resolve the problem, I'd know something was up.
If I do 2 hours of diving, I leave my canister out long enough to dry my loop, then I seal everything back up. I'll do another 2 hours, and do the same. Then another 2... I typically change out every 3 weeks.
I would feel comfortable pushing to 10 hours, but I wouldn't go into a long deep dive with 7 hours on the canister.
Obviously I speak from my own experience and don't recommend that anyone push that canister past 26 minutes.

Thats good info from teksimple and chunter ,

thanks.
The cost of sorb is not a big deal for me to change it,to have one of these units you need deep pockets. Just needed to hear from some other mk15.5 people what they did. 6 to 8hrs sound wise with the knowledge if away in remote areas, one could pust it to 8-10hrs if needed depend on type of dive and what the sorb had done total before diving again.
So you guys prefer, 6-12 or 8-12 instead of 4-8. What are the plus and minius of the different grades being used in our units

.
I decided to empty mind out just to see how it was,its been in and out of the unit for 4 weeks now as It first lot I used since buying unit about 6 weeks ago, with 2 weekends for the course last weekend and first test dive in the pool at Colin's place 6 weeks ago. This lot saw a little more condensation than normal.Due to doing the skills in the course required i.e going from OC to CCR and leting a table spoon of water in first time doing it. You talk about colour change, So you check it straight a dive on the bases you feed it time to change anyway.
Was going to change it after today anyway base on a time factor since being put in,but as it turn out I couldnt dive unless I wanted to flood it.
Photo of my kick arse unit as you put it,

Was to do its first out of course dive today to -25m off Norah Head with a mate but just as I was starting to gear up to jump in I notice a no dive problem.

See bottom photo
I think some Cooper Hoses will ensure this is less likey to happen again.
