Thanks for sharing, Frank.
To be honest, I was never interested in the Boris due to its size/weight but after having looked closely at the manufacturing quality of the parts from your pictures, I am very impressed.
May be time to take a closer look at the Sentinel when more info is up on the website...

I have to tell you the Boris is one KICK ASS KIT! The machining, quality and CCR customer support is second to NONE! I've been diving it for two years now and I agree that it is big ,heavy, and expensive….. I also feel there are a lot of great rebreathers out there… But in my opinion the Boris is in a class of it’s own. The other manufactures are really turning up the heat in the rebreather market. You and I as consumers are going to get better / safer /smaller/ lighter / and advanced rebreathers from this competition. Previously owning a stock Inspiration and Hammerhead Inspiration and now diving a Boris. I don’t ever want to go back to over the shoulder counter lungs again! If I’m diving deep that’s the kit I want on my back. I whish I could have the same exact features as a Boris in a KISS sized Kit. The back mounted counter lungs / HUD / and all it’s redundancies are just out of this world. You would really have to dive those electronics for a half of a year to appreciate all it’s features. May be... some day some one will make a kit like that. When I first got the kit I was a little over whelmed with all the electronics features… (I never owned a VR3 before) But as time went on I realized that CCR made some smart / well thought out information to feed the diver. I’m very interested in seeing / hearing about Sentinels performance in the future. I think if you purchase the trimix model it has every thing the Boris electronics has and MORE! It will be interesting to see how the kit works out. Time will tell??? If your in the market for a new kit I would give it a really good look.
