Re: Scrubber bypass Ida-64

Does anyone know if the IDA-64 is subject to the same co2 bypass in the counterlung as the IDA-71? I've got one on order, and will be tearing it down ASAP, just trying (always) to avoid problems before they happen.
Thanks
Ps. Anybody know the interior diameter of the low-pressure hose from the 02 tank to the counterlung?
The IDA64 has the same basic bag architecture as the IDA71, namely the exhaled gas runs inside the bag and is split at a “T” to go to two scrubber cans. The cans are then connected to the breathing circuit at the bottom of the bag on the outside. I’ve not had the bag of either of my 64s apart, but given the Russian propensity for cookie-cutter build up of gear, my bet would be that the same Achilles’ heel that has come very near to killing several divers on the 71 does indeed exist in the 64.

Dive safe,
Ken
