Well, the Jetam Sport Kiss has been fairly successfully marketed for recreational diving (compared to other CCRs, anyway).

To some extend other units are used for "recreational" diving, too, Evos, PRISMs, etc, and if you think of it,
all MOD1 or similar training (that I'm aware of) limits and certifies to recreational limits.

While the electronics/ features may be groundbreaking, they also mean that the unit won't grow with the diver.

And I wouldn't call several thousand Dräger Dolphins a flop, either.
Save for AP and maybe Carleton I'm not aware of any manufacturer having sold near as many units.

Time will tell if it will be a milestone, if it works it certainly should be both that and a success.
