I got a response from M&J and it sounds like Cedric did the same thing and it was not a custom part.

We used the standard QR so that any LP whip will connect to the ADV and is interchangeable between teams (using standard hose connectors).

I personally have not found the flow to be substantially reduced based on goofing around with it on dry land (I have not run time trials or anything). Based on my intial impressions, I don't think the time to flush the loop would be significantly different between running the gas through the ADV mod or through the redundant manual add valve.

FWIW, I plan on running some tests during some upcoming dives, as I am curious how beneficial this mod will be under real-world situations.
