Re: MK6 now launched....

granted I have not seen this firsthand, but based on the photos on the sight, and available literature, I have mixed feelings:

1. I think there are some innovtions here that will aid in entering a recreational market, adn may find a fit in a future technical unit. will this unit do it, who knows...too soon to tell?

2. a train of thought keeps spinning for me....is there really a 'rec' market as this is so intended? given the inherit issues with diving this 'mode' of diving in general, can the masses ("idiots" as they have been referred) handle it? yes, there are more #'s of people here in the community, which in theory means more potnetial sales, but at whose expense? Can the average diver afford $5500 for no more than an average weekend swim? how much training will be circumvented in the first place that is necessary to dive ccrs? Does the average rec diver need a tool that will let them spend 5 hours underwater when, most I know at least, need to be babysat with their AL80's, never mind the potentia to really get hurt.

It'll be interesting to read these threads a year from now to see where things are...
